OMNI has partnered with Blackbird guides to offer a comprehensive AIARE 1 training course. Guests of this course will receive 3 free classes at OMNI to help stretch and sooth the body after your long, yet rewarding days in the field! Topics Covered : Mountain Snowpack Mountain Weather The Avalanche Problems Trip Planning Snow and Weather Observations How to Practice Small Team Avalanche Rescue Terrain Choice Human Factors and Assembling your Team Trailhead Departure Check Route Finding Track Setting Descent Choices There will be an interactive online course provided at the time of purchase, part of the your pre-course work. The course begins with a two hour virtual presentation TBA Friday night with your Blackbird Guide, Saturday and Sunday are full days in the field. This course is built by Blackbird Mountain Guides and provides a foundation for assessing and managing avalanche hazard as well as finding the best turns in the backcountry!
Cancellation Policy
CANCELLATION POLICY This is a non refundable course, in the case of an emergency guest can request to transfer payment to another Blackbird Guides Course. Transfers are not guaranteed. If OMNI or Blackbird Guides must cancel for any reason, you may transfer your payment to another Blackbird Guided Course. OMNI is not responsible for your expenses incurred in preparation for any cancelled course, such as travel, loss of work, and/or other costs associated with preparing for your trip.
