Join us for a comprehensive AIARE 1 training course at OMNI and in the field. Topics Covered : Mountain Snowpack Mountain Weather The Avalanche Problems Trip Planning Snow and Weather Observations How to Practice Small Team Avalanche Rescue Terrain Choice Human Factors and Assembling your Team Trailhead Departure Check Route Finding Track Setting Descent Choices There will be an interactive online course provided at the time of purchase, part of the your pre-course work. We begin with a two hour in house presentation with our guide at OMNI Friday evening along with a gentle stretch session. Saturday and Sunday are full days in the field, Saturday night we will meet again at OMNI for a myofacial + gentle flow session. This course is built by Blackbird Mountain Guides and provides a foundation for assessing and managing avalanche hazard as well as finding the best turns in the backcountry!
Cancellation Policy
OMNI Studio class bookings can be canceled without charge 3hrs prior to class, and 8hrs prior to aerial classes. Any cancelation after these thresholds will be considered a charged visit.
