Yoga Tahoe Owner, Hatha & Iyengar Ropes
As a graduate of the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco Advanced Studies program, I specialize in injury recovery/rebalance, therapeutic, pre-natal, and rehabilitative yoga. I am also trained as a Flower Remedy Practitioner, Holistic Life Coach, Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritional Counselor. I am currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Holistic Health.
For me, the practice of yoga is a sacred art, science and philosophy, one that incorporates spirituality with a healthy, compassionate lifestyle. At the root of my practice is a sincere desire to help others be happier, healthier, and more at peace. I strive to teach in a manner that is playful, sensitive, soulful, motivating and intelligent.
I hold over 1000 hours of teacher trainings, advanced trainings and certificates in many lineages and styles such as Iyengar, Ashtanga, Forest, Kundalini, Tibetan Heart, and Radiant Child Yoga. My home is in Iyengar Yoga. I also have a diverse educational background in meditation, religious studies, Christianity, Tibetan Buddhism, Zen Buddhism, Sacred Geometry, Astrology, Herbology and Metaphysics. I have taught at Lake Tahoe Community College for almost two decades, specializing in Yoga and Medicinal Plant classes.
In my free time I delight in being active, outdoors and playing with Mother Nature. I have 4 Vizsla dogs, a passel of chickens, 3 hermit crabs and one Betta fish. I enjoy hiking, kayaking, swimming in the lakes and crafting organic Arnica oil and flower remedies gleaned from the Sierra Nevada Mountains.
My primary teachers are my parents Bonnie and Dennis Haubrich, His Holiness The Dalai Lama, Geshe Lobsang Tsultrim, BKS Iyengar, Geeta and Sunita Iyengar, Lama Marut, Deborah Lapkin, Victoria Austin, Nora Burnett, Carrie Owerko and Annie Carpenter.
