Katlin Campbell's passion for yoga truly began when she walked into a Mysore class. Never hearing the word Mysore before, she did not know what she was walking into or what to expect. That’s when her teacher broke down the primary Ashtanga practice for her. She fell in love right away. It was a structured class that always remained the same. This helped Katlin to see how the body is at a constant flux some days stronger and more flexible than others. The more she practiced the more the series became a part of her(muscle memory), and she found it to be meditative. She would fall into breath and be able to just flow and concentrating on alignment and the way her body was feeling. Katlin went on to train and study Ashtanga. She learned the physical practice and fell in love with alignment, adjustments, and Thai massage as well as diving deeper into a mental and spiritual practice with her yoga family.
After her training, Katlin went on to teach Ashtanga and provide adjustments during Mysore (personal ashtanga practice). When she moved to Tahoe Katlin started to teach vinyasa classes: Open Heart Morning class, Apres slow flow, subbing for Hot Yoga, and now teaching Sweaty Vinyasa. They have become a joy as well as a challenge for her but loves watching herself grow in her practice and learn from the community around her. She has also gone on to train in pre and postnatal yoga, chakra clearing, and doula training. She continues to study not only for herself but also to help others. She is forever a student and teacher.
